AquaFest 2013 - Oct 18-20. D.C. area!

This should be a great event. Basically it is the Catfish Convention without the emphasis on the catfish.

My favorite part of these conventions is the room sales. I won't be selling from a room directly, but will probably have some stuff in someone else's room. The best time for buying from the rooms is the Friday night shopping spree. However most should also have some stuff available during the day on Saturday. The speaker line-up is good and varied and the registration fee is quite reasonable only $20. If you can only make a day trip it is a really tough call between Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is the auction which is free, but doesn't have any speakers.

There ended up being about 700 items in the auction and 200 in the tag sale.

It was definitely a buyers auction. I got a group of panda guppies for $7. I paid something similar for some uncommon Copadichromis(Malawi cichlid). I paid more, but got a nice Victorian cichlid group.
